Arctic cold is moving into Colorado today! Time to bundle up in jackets, gloves, and hats!
And hope they don’t get lost!
Seriously, looking for missing items is the worst! Even worse, trudging through the overflowing lost and found bin at school. Ugh!
How to stop losing things at school and sports practices?
Well, honestly, that one is hard for kids to learn. However, there is a solution!
Every mom and dad can rejoice! Spend a few pennies to save hundreds in clothing, sports gear – you name it!
If you have kids, you realize that bundling up in warm clothes eventually means lost jackets, gloves, and hats is soon to come.
That also hits your pocketbook – costing you money to replace these items.
That was until I found these…Avery washable no iron clothing labels.
The True Cost of Lost Items?
Why should you care if kids keep track of their items? Simple.
It could be costing you hundreds of dollars each year.
The average child’s sweatshirts runs $30. If your kid is known to lose 2 sweatshirts per year, then it is costing you $60.
Multiply that by 12 years of school and you are looking at wasting away $720.
If you have multiple children, the cost escalates to over $1500! And that is on just one item!
With that much money, it would allow a nice weekend away.
One simple money saving frugal tip.

How to stop losing things at school?
The first option is teaching your kids to be responsible of their items and always double check their area before leaving.
However, we know that isn’t always a perfect solution to stop losing things at school.
The easier solution is so simple for the parents anyway. Pick up a set of these.
They are washable plus No iron clothing label. Quick and easy to label items.
I use them everywhere. Yes, EVERYWHERE!
On jackets, sweatshirts, sports jerseys, gloves, water bottles, you name it – I have it labeled.
Plus you can wash them over and over and the label stays there.
I am hooked and highly recommend the Avery Washable No Iron Clothing Labels!
Cheap Alternative to Losing Items
As parents, this is the easier and cheaper solution in the long run. When an item is labeled, it is much more likely to be returned to the owner. Pick up a set of these.
I use a Sharpie Fine-Tip Marker to write names on the labels.
After probably a year of washing clothes items, I will have to re-write the name. Little more often for water bottles.
But, that is an easy trade-off for still having the item and not spending money on replacement costs.
If you have multiple kids or love color in your life, check out these Sharpie Color Fine-Tip Markers.
Each label costs around 15 cents. Just 15 cents!
That is much cheaper than replacing sweatshirts, jackets, gloves, hats, and water bottles. Much rather invest in the these now!
Another reason I love them is you can get a new label for hand-me-downs. Simple. Easy. Washable.
Now, how to stop losing things at school in the first place? That one is tough. Best of luck!
In the meantime, stick with the labels and save money replacing lost items!
